The GemID Gemstone Report is divided into Colored Stone Report and Pearl Report, the Colored Stone Report is applicable to colored stones, natural jade, and organic gemstones (such as amber, gem-grade coral, etc.), except for natural / laboratory grown diamonds and pearls. The classification and suggested origin information in the Gemstone Report only applies to natural gemstones (excluding artificial processed gemstones, synthetic gemstones, or imitations).

GemID Lab provides complete report services for colored stones, including report number, weights, measurements, color grade, species, variety, transparency, optical effects (if any), enhancement/treatment information, and suggested origin (if any). Origin information applies to rubies, sapphires (colored sapphires), emeralds, tanzanites, spinels, and Paraiba tourmalines, natural jade (FeiCui),etc.

Regarding geographical origin recommendations, GemID Lab collects important information such as mineral composition, gemological characteristics and chemical element composition of samples during testing to speculate on the possible origin of gemstones. These data are compared with databases to infer the possible range of geographical origin for specific gemstones. However, not all gemstones can provide origin recommendations.
